RinkIQ Terms of Service

1. General
1.1. RinkIQ (available at rinkiq.app, the "Service") is operated by ADVANCED SPORTS ANALYTICS OÜ, Rotermanni 8, Tallinn, 10111, Estonia (registry code: 17587742) ("we", "us").
1.2. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. By creating an account you confirm that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

1.4. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of your agreement with us.
2. The Service
2.1. RinkIQ provides statistical predictions for NHL games and hockey analytics dashboards, generated by our own models from publicly available data.
2.2. Parts of the Service are free and parts require a paid subscription. We may offer free or promotional tiers and may change their scope and limits (for example, the number of free predictions per day) at any time.
3. Predictions are estimates, not advice
3.1. All predictions and analytics on RinkIQ are statistical estimates provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. Sports outcomes are inherently uncertain, and we make no promise or guarantee that any prediction will be accurate. Past model performance does not guarantee future performance.
3.2. Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, or professional advice, or a recommendation to take (or not take) any action. Any decision you make in reliance on the Service is yours alone and at your own risk. We accept no responsibility for losses of any kind resulting from such decisions.
4. Your account
4.1. You can sign in with Google, X, or an email address. Keep your sign-in credentials secure – you are responsible for activity under your account.
4.2. The information you provide must be accurate, and your account is personal to you: don't share it, sell it, or use someone else's.
4.3. Notify us at rinkiq-support@googlegroups.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
5. Subscriptions, payment, and refunds
5.1. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Current prices are shown in the Service before you subscribe.
5.2. You can cancel at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then. We do not provide refunds for partial billing periods.
5.3. Withdrawal right. Because your subscription gives you immediate access to digital content, by subscribing you expressly consent to the Service being provided right away and acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal under EU consumer law.
5.4. We may change subscription prices. Price changes take effect at your next billing period, and we will notify you at least 14 days in advance so you can cancel first if you wish.
5.5. If a payment fails and is not resolved, we may downgrade or suspend your paid access.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, harvest, or bulk-download content from the Service, or access it by automated means other than the interfaces we provide;
- resell, redistribute, or make the Service's predictions or analytics available to third parties as a product or data feed;
- reverse engineer the Service or attempt to extract our models;
- interfere with the operation or security of the Service, or circumvent plan limits or access controls.
7. Intellectual property and data sources
7.1. The Service – including its models, predictions, analytics, design, and content – belongs to us or our licensors. These Terms give you a personal, non-transferable right to use the Service; they transfer no other rights to you.
7.2. The Service uses statistics from publicly available sources. RinkIQ is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Hockey League (NHL). Team names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used for identification only.
8. Availability and changes to the Service
8.1. We aim to keep the Service available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service is provided "as is".
8.2. We may change, add, or remove features at any time. If we discontinue a paid feature material to your subscription, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of any pre-paid period.
9. Liability
9.1. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses (such as lost profits or lost data), and our total aggregate liability arising from or related to the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9.2. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including liability for intentional wrongdoing or gross negligence), and nothing in these Terms affects the statutory rights you have as a consumer.
10. Termination
10.1. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10.2. We may suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the Service. Where reasonably possible, we will give you prior notice, and if you have a paid subscription and are not in breach, we will refund the unused portion of the pre-paid period.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give you at least 14 days' notice by email or in the app before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, cancel your subscription and stop using the Service; continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and disputes
12.1. These Terms are governed by Estonian law.
12.2. If something isn't right, please talk to us first at rinkiq-support@googlegroups.com – we genuinely want to find a solution together. We aim to respond within 15 days.
12.3. If we cannot resolve a dispute together, you may turn to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (via the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority, www.ttja.ee). By entering into these Terms, you and we agree that jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms lies with the Estonian authorities and courts.
